Falar do Simply Red sem citar a bela voz negra de Mick Hucknall é o mesmo que passar em branco esta figura ruiva e excêntrica que lidera uma das melhores bandas de rock romântico de todos os tempos. Recentemente assisti a uma entrevista dele no Brasil comentando o fim próximo da banda por ele entender não ter mais a motivação que ele tinha para compor este estilo tão consagrado,preferindo seguir carreira solo em um novo formato. Que egoísmo,Mick! E seus fãs como eu,como ficam? Pense direitinho e continuem juntos nos presenteando com baladas arrepiantes como estou agora escrevendo esta declaração singela de paixão por este Grupo. Só Mick, Janes Joplin e Amy Whinehouse nos presenteam com esta voz marcante afro-descendente em peles branquelas.
